Mature Learners
I have an excellent record with nervous and mature learners with a 100% first time pass rate this year. I appreciate that sometimes more mature students need more time and patience.
Foreign License holders
Anyone who currently holds a driving licence from Australia, Barbados, Canada, British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Japan ( must have an official translation), Kenya, Malta, New Zealand, Republic of Cyprus, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, and Zimbabwe can exchange it for a UK driving licence if this is done within 5 years of becoming a resident here.
Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and N.I. car licences may be exchanged.
E.E.C. Countries
You may use your current licence for a car here until you are 70years old or for 3 years whichever is the longest.
For all other current full licence holders you have to take the full U.K test including theory.
You may drive as a visitor for up to one year if you hold a current full foreign licence ( or an International Driving Permit ).
You have to apply for a provisional licence in the normal way. Forms are available from post offices.
